2nd grader goes viral after dressing as her teacher for superhero day
WASHINGTON (TND) — When children are told they can dress up as their favorite superhero for a day at school, many opt for the usual suspects: Superman, Wonder Woman, Thor, Ironman, etc.
But that wasn't the case for second-grader Caroline Carlson at R.E. Baker Elementary School in Bentonville, Ark.
Caroline went all out, dressing like her teacher Jamie Deigh.
Caroline sported a pink t-shirt under a denim jacket with blue jeans. The same outfit her teacher was wearing on superhero day.
Calling it a "feel-good Friday moment we all need," Bentonville Schools posted about Caroline's creativity on Facebook, saying:
This is the feel-good Friday moment we all need today! R.E. Baker Elementary School students were asked to dress like their favorite superhero to end the week. Second grader Caroline Carlson dressed like her teacher, Jaime Deigh. Forget the cape. Throw on a jean jacket and change the world wherever you are today, Bentonville! #whereexcellencelives"The post was instantly met with love for Caroline's choice of costume.
One commenter said: "She even has the curls to match. Loving this."
Another stated: "Love this for so many reasons! Thank you Jamie for your love and care of our children. You are Fabulous!"
Others praised Miss Deigh:
"Jaime IS a superhero!" one person commented.
"This is very sweet! Not all super heroes wear capes!" said another.
