College of Idaho named No. 2 small college in America

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - The College of Idaho is ranked No. 2 on the website Best College Review’s 2017 list of the “Top 50 Best Small Colleges in the U.S.”

The C of I has also received high marks from Forbes Magazine, The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report, USA Today and University Research & Review this academic year.

The college continues to be recognized for its strong retention and graduation rates, affordable tuition and outstanding academic offerings.

Best College Reviews praised the College’s PEAK Curriculum, which challenges students to earn a major and three minors in four years, spread across four areas of academic focus.

The “Top 50 Best Small Colleges in the U.S.” ranking includes schools with 500-2,000 enrolled undergraduate students, a graduation rate of at least 50 percent, a student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1 or less, a retention rate of at least 74 percent and annual tuition of no more than $30,000.

Availability of campus housing and graduate degrees also are considered.

The College of Idaho is the only Gem State school represented on this year’s list.

The College of Idaho has a 125-year-old legacy of excellence.

The C of I is known for its outstanding academic programs, including seven Rhodes Scholars, three governors and four NFL players.
