Ebony Obsidian Education
Ebony Obsidian was born on April 16, 1994, in New Paltz, New York, United States. She grew up in Manhattan and attended a local high school there itself. After graduating, she started her studies focusing on journalism in the year 2002. After realising her spark in the acting field she joined drama school. She completed her training at William Esper Studio.

While training at the William Esper Studio, she started in the independent films The Vixens and Where Hearts Lie in the year 2015 and 2016 respectively. Her first attention-seeking movie ‘If Beale Street could talk’ was released in 2018. This film was nominated for over 130 awards including 3 Oscars, 2 Golden Globes, 2 BAFTAs, and 5 Critics’ Choice Awards. Her other films include Where Hearts Lie and My Brothers Keeper.

She has made a remarkable presence in her Short films too. She made her debut with ‘Punkin Pie’ in the year 2015. Later in the same year, she started in an aggressive but cushioned by sarcasm kind short film ‘Traces: A Post Traumatic Love Story’. Other short films in which she started were Twelve Dollar Words, Capital Inferno, and Swipe. Swipe was awarded many awards such as best thriller at the Dublin Informed Film festival and Best Short at the Independent Horror movie Awards, both in 2020.
