Minecraft has a lot of tools that the players can make in the game and they all serves some purpose. Like many other games, Minecraft also has a day-night cycle and players are more vulnerable during the night when the monsters attack!

Clock in Minecraft

Clock in Minecraft is a tool that tells the players the current time in the Overworld. The clock only has two faces and players can tell the time easily by observing that.

Clocks can only be found naturally spawning in Ruined portal chests or a Shipwreck chest.

The Clock in Minecraft has two halves, one signifying Day and the other, Night. The dial on the clock rotates and as time passes, the dark side comes up to signify night coming. The dial will spin in accordance to the sun or moon’s actual position in the sky at that moment.

The clock can also show dusk and dawn when the halves will show half day and half night. However, Clocks do not work in the Nether Realm or the End dimension because night or day do not exist there.

Players can hang up the clock on their wall or just hold it in their hand or inventory to tell the time.

Fun Fact: Piglins will be attracted to clocks as they are made of gold and pick them up after a while.

How to make a Clock in Minecraft?

Players need only two items and a Crafting Table to make a Clock in Minecraft. These are:

Gold can be found deep underground and players can mine them with an Iron pickaxe or better. Players can then smelt them in a Furnace or a Blast Furnace to make Iron Ingots.

Redstone Dust can be found by mining Redstone blocks with a Iron Pickaxe or better.

Combine the items in the Crafting Table in the manner shown above to make a Clock.
