Danielle Collins has expressed her delight after a massive third-round victory at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. With this being her last season on the WTA tour, she has been giving her all and it has resulted in one of the best runs so far in the year.

Heading into Wimbledon, Collins was not expected to make a strong run. However, she has proved many people wrong with her performances. Against Beatriz Haddad Maia in the third round, she was down 0-4 in the first set but made an incredible comeback to win it 6-4. With momentum on her side, she wrapped up the match in straight sets and secured her place in the fourth round.

Collins is known for displaying her emotions on the court and plays with a lot of passion. After her win against Haddad Maia, she sent a message to all her detractors.

We get framed as emotional and frustrated and this and that. I just say ‘F it.’ I’m going for it. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I’m always gonna bring the passion.

Danielle Collins said in her on-court interview

She will next face Barbora Krejcikova, with a place in the quarterfinals awaiting the winner.

Danielle Collins hopes to make it to the Center Court at Wimbledon as she inches closer to the quarterfinals

American sensation Danielle Collins is back to winning ways at the SW19. The 30-year-old has never been comfortable on grass and had a 4-5 record at Wimbledon before this edition, where she has made it past three rounds and will be aiming to go the distance.

After her win against Beatriz Haddad Maia, she expressed her desire to play a match on the tournament’s showpiece court before she retired.

It’s a goal of mine to be able to play on Center Court in a singles match at some point. I have yet to do that in my career.

Danielle Collins said

Another goal of Collin’s is to win at the Olympics in her last year on tour. She will be a part of a strong American contingent at the Paris Olympics later this year and will look to end her career on a high.
