UFC greenlights fight between Paul Craig and Jamahal Hill for March 20th
Although the venue is still undecided, Paul Craig vs Jamahal Hill is all set to go ahead on the 20th of March at a UFC Fight Night event. Paul Craig is undefeated in his last four matches, his last victory was against Brazilian Mauricio Rua. Jamahal Hill made his UFC debut last year in 2020. He has won two of his three fights in the UFC so far. His only loss came against Klidson Abreu, a fight which Hill had won but was overturned when he tested positive for Marijuana, and subsequently he was fined 15% of his match purse and suspended for 6 months. The UFC has since then rescinded its decision to punish fighters for testing positive for Marijuana. Hence Hill’s loss stands as a No Contest right now.
Paul Craig vs Jamahal Hill, World no.14 vs World no.15, in Light Heavyweight division
With Jon Jones relinquishing his spot at the top, there is a lot of excitement among fighters in the Light Heavyweight division. The fighters seem to think this is the right time to make a move up the rankings. And in all honesty the division does look a lot open now. Paul Craig has been fighting in the UFC for a good four odd years now, and seems to think this is his time to get in the top 10. Hill though is a tough opponent. He was part of the Dana White Contender series, and is undefeated in his professional career so far. Also, he was mighty impressive in his last fight, a TKO, against Ovince Saint Preux. The fighters in this one are so evenly matched that this fight is impossible to call.
